Baby Butt Wipe Juice
Use this potion on wash cloths to gently clean baby's bottom at diaper change time instead of using harsh chemicals and disposable wipes.
Preparation Time:
Ingredients:
For the concentrate:
1 pint Aloe Vera Gel (I like Aloe Farms Aloe Vera Gel
2 ounces witch hazel Glycerite (alcohol free) (Try this one or This one (The product I used does not seem to be available anymore and it's hard to find it without anything else mixed in!!)
1 ounce Calendula Oil (This should be easy enough to find.)
For wiping solution:
1 ounce solution
7 ounces distilled water.
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and store them in the fridge in a tightly sealed container. Dilute the wipe solution with distilled water in an 8 ounce bottle with a squirt top. (Like the perineal care bottle they send you home from the hospital with). Put one ounce of the aloe solution in the bottom and fill it up the rest of the way with warm water. Squirt a bit on a damp washcloth to remove icky bits off baby's bottom and keep it smooth and clean.
This is also soothing for adults with delicate bottom issues.
Bonus
The concentrated solution can be used full strength and straight from the refrigerator to treat burns.
The diluted solution can be used to flush minor abrasions, including hot spots on dogs.
